Cows raised as calves on our nutrition program have been shown to:
- Produce around 150kg more milk-solids than traditionally reared cows over 5 lactations.
- Have a 95% survival rate in the herd from calf through to completion of the third lactation compared to a New Zealand herd estimate of 62%.
The commercial evidence shows our cows are staying productive for longer. The opportunity to raise fewer, more productive replacements in environmental and economic terms, means lower replacement costs and further emission reductions.
